The Integrated Fitness Center
Most clubs today are expected to offer the latest technology to their members so they can access music or video while exercising. Our reputation has enabled us to work with several top fitness centers throughout the region.

One fitness club in particular required us to offer a variety of options to their members that enabled them to plug their headphones right into the exercise machine. The device permitted them to listen to a wide range of audio selections or listen to a wall-mounted TV. The goal was to make club members’ experience more enjoyable—and the goal was achieved.

Another challenge solved was the aerobics room and the club’s aquatic facilities. Their main goal was to allow instructors to control the audio selection and volume via wireless communication. Their overhead PA (Public Address system) also had to be incorporated so that it could be heard throughout the facility. The client also wanted video to help instruct their members on proper techniques for specific exercise equipment. Additionally, they planned to use video footage to demonstrate the results of selected club members that followed a particular exercise program. The hope was to show potential members how to accomplish similar goals if they commit to an exercise program the club plans to promote.

The Virtual Conference Room
HST provided an economical solution that enabled a growing business to virtually eliminate the need for travel. Regular meetings were a must and our client relied on face-to-face conferences with project managers that often demanded immediate (personalized) attention. The system we designed allowed all essential parties to participate from various locations—without ever having to leave their office or jobsite. An increase in productivity, health, and other key attributes were all obtained as a result of their new telepresence system. The client is now expanding and their custom-designed videoconferencing system has become an essential ingredient in the growth of the company.

Centralizing Control in a Restaurant
Eliminating remote controls for multiple TV’s can be a challenge. However, consolidating them into one location with the right wiring simplifies your ability to manage your desired content. One project required several strategically placed, fixed touchscreens to control only certain areas of the establishment. An additional “main control” location maintained complete control over the entire building—including more than forty TV’s, three projectors, and an audio and lighting system. With one easy-to-use touchscreen controller, any authorized employee could quickly modify any of the settings.

Another application involved not only incorporating the typical cable and satellite services, but the owners agreed to let us incorporate a variety of customized content. We were able to display daily menu specials, weekday specials, and upcoming events. We also provided a selection that helped promote future events and parties by displaying video footage from past events.

Video Conferencing and Audio for Professionals
Retail establistments and professional service businesses (law offices, accounting firms, medical practices, etc.) are routinely incorporating music for their employees and customers. Now, more and more are embracing video as well. It’s an opportunity to share a message with a captive audience and entertain them while making their visit more enjoyable.

We recently incorporated a video conferencing system that allowed doctors to share information with their colleagues. Prior to this, they relied on conference calls or in-person meetings. The new system allows everyone to have a face-to-face meeting and they accomplished what once required several individuals to travel to a designated location. The system also creates an opportunity to make the doctors more efficient and their ability to see more patients has increased.
